MANILA, Philippines – Longer battery life, longer the fun.
Leave your power banks at home and still continue your smartphone experience with Sony Philippines claiming that its new flagship phone can last up to two days.
Coming this final quarter of the year, Sony Philippines launched Tuesday new handsets for the Xperia series with the Z3, Z3 compact and Z3 tablet-compact perfect for the Yuletide season and great for your smartphone usage.
Sony Philippines President and Managing Director Nobuyoshi Otake vowed that they won't just compete well with their latest handsets in the market, but assured that they'll be at the top of the smartphone universe with the release of the new Xperia series.
"We assure that we will standout," Otake said at the press launch held at the 12 Monkey's Bar at Century Mall in Makati City.
Compared to its predecessor that only lasts for more than 24 hours, Xperia Z3 powered by 3,100 mAh could last up to two days, with standby time up to 920 hours, music listening time up to 130 hours, video playback time up to 10 hours and talk time up to 16 hours.
But the longer battery life would not be perfect if not for the style, performance and durability that can surely match its competitors.
The Xperia Z3 blends design and engineering with 7.3mm super-slim rounded aluminium frame, 5.2” Full HD Triluminous display for mobile with Live Colour LED powered by X-Reality and lighter weight that comes in 152 grams.
Sony also claimed that they have the "best camera and camcorder in smartphone" with 20.7 megapixels camera powered by a 25mm wide angle “G Lens” and ISO of 12,800 for better photos even with a limited source of light, while retaining the ultimate 4K video recording.
The new flagship phone of Sony is powered by Snapdragon 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Quad-core processor with an operating system of Google Android 4.4 (Kitkat) and still with the highest water and dust proof rating of IP65 and IP68.
Expected to be in the market this end of October, the Xperia Z3 has four various colors of black, white, copper and silver green priced at P36,990.
Z3 compact
For users who want a smaller handset, Sony offers Z3 compact with almost the same features as that of the Z3.
Weighing 129 grams, the Z3 compact has a dimension of 127 x 64.9 x 8.6 mm and display of 4.6" HD (1280x720 pixels). It is also run and powered by Google Android 4.4 (KitKat) and Snapdragon 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Quad-core.
It has the same camera features of 20.7 MP camera with auto focus, 2.2 MP front-facing camera and ISO 12800 but the battery life is much shorter with 2600 mAh.
Durability is still a great choice with water and dust proof rating of IP65 and IP68. The whole smartphone comes in black, white, green and orange pegged at P29,490.
Z3 tablet compact
The Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, meanwhile, is a design sensation with a sexier body at 6.4mm slim, weighing just 270 grams, and is also dust and waterproof.
It has a tremendous 8" TRILUMINOS™ Display for mobile (1920x1200 pixels), 8.1 MP main camera (2.2 mp rear camera) with a steady batter life of 4500 mAh.
