Charging your iPhones costs less than charging your laptops

MANILA, Philippines - How many times do you charge your iPhones?

Setting the 'bend gate' controversy aside, a study found out that iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are cost-efficient and electricity-efficient.

According to the study conducted by Opower, charging an iPhone 6 costs 47 cents per year while charging an iPhone 6 Plus cost 52 cents per year.

In terms of electricity needed to charge the devices, it was determined that the iPhone 6 uses about 3.8 kilowatt-hours and the iPhone 6 Plus uses about 4.2 kilowatt-hours per year.

In addition to that, the study also claimed that other gadgets such as laptop can consume up to 14 times more electricity thatn the new devices. Desktop consumes 49 times more and Xbox One 61 times more.
