Globe announces BlackBerry Z10 suite

MANILA, Philippines -- Globe Telecom officially announced Saturday its new BlackBerry Z10 deals.

Globe released its offerings three days after BlackBerry formally launched the Z10 in the Philippines last Wednesday.

BlackBerry executives said the Z10 will be made available on March 19 from the country's three carriers Globe, Smart Communications Inc., and Sun Cellular.

Globe is offering the Z10 with its own LTE (Long Term Evolution) version at no extra cost bundled with unlimited mobile surfing plans, consumable amount for calls and texts and freebies.

"Filipinos are huge fans of BlackBerry and as such, we expect a strong demand for the new BlackBerry Z10," said Martha Sazon, Head of Globe Postpaid.

BlackBerry is selling the Z10 in the local market at Php29,990. The smartphone features a 1.5 GHz dual core processor with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and an expandable memory card slot that supports up to 64GB cards.
