MANILA, Philippines - In today’s technology-focused era, this existing generation wants everything fast and within their reach. The Internet is the most approachable medium to create, gather or share information, movies, TV series and music.
The Internet and music have a relationship that has led to the most in-demand online practice of today — music downloading.
With this in mind, MyMusicStore, a music-downloading site was recently launched at Robot Restaurant and Lounge.
Mymusicstore.com.ph is a joint endeavor between John Alonte, CEO of Rising Tide Mobile Entertainment and Eliza Tan, CEO of Mobile Cash. The venture is one of the biggest between the two companies.
Alonte and Tan want to create a local music-downloading site where everyone can have access to their most-wanted songs or albums from favorite OPM tracks to international artists. With a click of a button one can find his or her favorite songs and download-all-they-want for as low as P20.
The event was hosted by Magic89.9’s Mia Bayuga and RX93.1’s Rico Robles, performers filled the excitement on stage with Zia Quizon, Richard Poon, Bamboo, Pupil and a great finale by Mr. Pure Energy, Gary Valenciano.
It was the biggest official beginning for the company as they were joined by Alpha Music, EMI, Praise, Indie Pinoy, MCA Universal, Polyeast Records, Sony Music, Star Records, Universal Records, Ivory, Vicor, Viva Records and the Philippine Association of the Recording Industry.
Ronnie Rickets, chairman of the Optical Media Board, was also present at the event.
Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation provided the affair with an interactive zone where attendees could explore mymusicstore.com.ph and can jumpstart their own accounts.
