MANILA, Philippines - A potluck party is now becoming common during the holiday season, whether it’s a neighborhood gathering or one held at the office. Aside from being practical, it allows one to share treasured family recipes with friends and officemates who would always welcome a fresh twist to the usual holiday fare.
Here is a pasta dish from the San Miguel Pure Foods Culinary Center that will add zest to your party menu.
ANGEL HAIR PASTA WITH FORIANA SAUCE
Ingredients:
1 (450 g) pack Angel hair pasta,
cooked according to package directions ?
12 pcs. garlic cloves, finely chopped?
1-1/8 cup walnut halves, finely chopped
1-1/8 cup pili nuts, slightly salted?
1-1/4 tbsps. dried oregano?
2 tbsps. extra virgin olive oil?
2 tbsps. Magnolia Gold Butter Unsalted?
1/2 cup raisins?
1/4 cup grated Magnolia Queso De Bola,?
1 tsp. iodized fine salt,?a pinch
pepper?shaved Magnolia
Queso De Bola, for garnish
Procedure:
1. Combine garlic, walnuts, pili nuts and dried oregano. Mix them well then set aside.
2. Heat olive oil and butter in a non-stick medium sauté pan over medium heat. Stir in the garlic-nut mixture, raisins and grated queso de bola. Season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the nuts are lightly toasted, about 3 minutes.
3. Toss the sauce together with the pasta and garnish with shaved queso de bola on top for garnish. ?
