MANILA, Philippines - Sofitel Philippine Plaza celebrates the mid-autumn festival with special mooncakes designed by executive sous chef Mok Chee Wa. The mooncakes are made with green tea sourced in cooperation with Sofitel Ponte Macau. In keeping with the tradition, the mooncake boxes are especially designed by Sofitel Ponte Macau. Sofitel also offers mini mooncakes in winter melon, mixed nuts, chestnut, white lotus and red bean. There is also a choice of four big mooncakes such as the snow-skin mooncake with mango chocolate; snow-skin mooncake with coconut chocolate (pink); snow-skin mooncake with strawberry chocolate (green). The mooncakes are available in a mini box of eight starting at P1,998 net or a normal box of four at P2,488 net. Spiral brings back the private wine and cheese tasting classes. After a magnifique Sunday brunch, discover a variety of artisanal cheeses cultivated from different regions of France as well as other countries including our very own Malagos cheese from Davao. Enjoy cheese paired with rich wines.
The classes are held every Sunday at L’Epicerie (Cheese Room) from 4.30 to 5.30 p.m. at P1,500 per person with a maximum of eight participants per class. Discover the pure luxury of an afternoon high tea and revel in the tradition with family and friends. Rate is set at P700+ at Salons de Thé (Tea Salons) at Le Bar.
