Fiesta ham with warm tamarind glaze
Ingredients:
1 pc. Purefoods Fiesta Ham Bone-in Spiral, completely thawed
For the glaze:
3 tbsps. tamarind paste
4 tsps. garlic, finely chopped
3 tsps. ginger juice
1 tsp. chili flakes
2 tbsps. vinegar
1/4 cup honey
2 tsps. soy sauce
salt to taste
Procedure:
Unwrap ham then transfer to a serving dish. Make sure that ham is completely thawed.
In a saucepan, combine tamarind paste, finely chopped garlic, ginger juice, chili flakes, vinegar, honey, soy sauce and brown sugar. Mix well. Let simmer for three to five minutes. Strain glaze. Transfer glaze back into saucepan and continue to cook until thickened. Season with salt. Pour hot glaze on ham. Garnish, then serve.
