MANILA, Philippines - Food that sizzles normally gets the attention of diners, whets their appetites and entices them to feast wholeheartedly on the scrumptious dishes. The hissing, crackling sound of food cooking over a hot plate and its delicious aroma beckon one to “try me!” This sizzling fare can now be enjoyed at Krazy Garlik as it introduces its Lunch Sizzlers.
There are four new dishes that are not only sizzling hot but are garlic-flavored as well. One blazing item is the T-bone steak. Bite into the sweltering, tender goodness of Krazy Garlik’s prime Wagyu beef grilled just the way you like it. It is served with fresh market vegetables in season and with the restaurant’s own brown aged garlic sauce. Also try the cheesy pork steak — porkloin steak seasoned and grilled then topped with sautéed fresh mushroom and slathered with melted mozzarella cheese. This dish comes with young corn and carrots and garlic sauce.
Another must-try dish is the Bang-Bang Chicken. The sugar, soy garlic-coated chicken fillet comes with corn kernels, special rice and Oriental sauce that give off an explosion of flavors. Next up on the sizzling lunch selection is the Sea Sling Fish, which is fresh gindara fillet in garlic lemon soy butter and is served with corn and carrots.
These new treats are available on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The dishes are served on cast-iron skillets providing food that is freshly cooked and flavorful.
Krazy Garlik is well loved for bringing out the amazing taste of garlic in appetizers, salads, pizzas, meat, seafood dishes and desserts. A visit at the restaurant, located at the second level of Greenbelt 5 and at the second level, Resorts World Manila, is like taking a culinary tour of garlic-inspired recipes from around the world.
House specialties include the Middle Eastern baba ghanoush, Spain’s oxtail and chorizo stew and Italian pizzas such as the widely popular Garlic Snowflakes Pizza. Asian delights like the hara kiri rice, the garlicky crispy pata and pork rib adobo. Decadent desserts such as the Crema Catalana, a Spanish-style crème brulee with caramelized garlic cloves, is tempting. It’s “krazy” not to finish off a meal with these sweet indulgences.
