What's on the Menu: Bulgogi Brothers now in Alabang

MANILA, Philippines - Bulgogi Brothers recently opened at the lower ground floor, The Garden in Alabang Town Center. This is the second store of this international Korean BBQ restaurant chain. The first branch is in Greenbelt 5. Everything in Bulgogi Brothers is authentic, from the Korean food to the music playing in the background, to shows on TV and the contemporary Korean ambience and décor. Meals begin with complimentary Korean tea and side dishes such as boiled sweet potatoes, quail eggs, pickled vegetables and kimchi. The bulgogi is prime cuts of beef marinated in a number of ingredients. The meat melts in the mouth and the vegetables are fresh and sweet. Other barbecued dishes are prepared right on the table through an induction cooker. Must-try is the Bulgogi Brothers Special, a combination of two popular bulgogi — the Unyang-style and Gwang Yang-Style (a house specialty with assorted bulgogi seasoned to perfection for the ultimate experience). Korean chef Changkyu Kim recommends the kimchi-jigae (a spicy stew made with ripened kimchi, pork and tofu), janchi-guksu (fl our noodles), haemul gungjung mandu (fried dumpling with seafood and served with spicy sauce), and dwaeji galbi gui (grilled spareribs marinated in soy sauce). Bulgogi Brothers offers a wide range of beverages that includes Korean soju — a clear spirit made from either grain, rice, sweet potatoes or barley — wines, beer and fresh fruit juices, among others. Apart from being the best Korean BBQ restaurant in Seoul since 2006, Bulgogi Brothers is fast becoming a most sought-after destination when it comes to a variety of delightful Korean fare.

Bulgogi Brothers is in Greeenbelt 5, Makati and Alabang Town Center. It is open Monday to Friday (11 a.m. to 9 p.m.) and Saturday and Sunday (10 a.m. to 9 p.m.). Tender choice cuts of beef cooked in a sweet, savory sauce, tossed with the essence of ginger and scallions, create a fresh yet flavorful mouthful with each bite.
