Southern lady with class and style Allana Montelibano celebrated her big day in spite of the limitations of the pandemic. Her close friends and famille found a way to mark Allana’s 45th dazzling year in several intimate birthday dinners on open decks where they could enjoy the cool breeze, music and the safety of social distancing.

In the midst of the pandemic, we realize that what matters most truly are family, warm friends and creating beautiful memories.

The superb and intimate dinner was held at the upscale Gallery by Chele at the Carlo Calma Clipp Bldg., Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. Guests indulged in Mejillones Tigre (crispy spicy mussels) Chele-style, Ube Cochinillo Tacos (homemade sour crème, pineapple-smoked pickled chili), Gambas al Ajillo, Tiger Prawns Garlic Chili, Txipironess (squid-ink aioli) and Paella de Pato y Setas (smoked duck, mushroom and shrimp paella).

Another dinner was held at Melon Santiago’s private roof deck in Kalayaan. The food was catered by Grace Lee’s Mom and Metronome by Elbert Cuenca.

Some of the A-lister invitees were my soul mate Vicky Zubiri, the talented and multifaceted Stephanie Zubiri, Rep. Camille Villar-Genuino, the eye-catching Happy Ongpauco-Tiu, Anton Corro, Lucille Carlos Locsin, Chichi Lizot, man for all seasons Noel Oñate, Louie Ysmael, Davao Rep. Tony Boy Floirendo and Atty. Connie Aquino.

This southern lady can’t complain that she has only a couple of friends. Get the picture, palanggas?
