In the mood for prints

MANILA, Philippines - Prints were on parade at Shangri-La Plaza’s latest display of the most fashion-forward prints from local and global brands.

Rustan’s Department Store featured paisleys for women along with shirts layered with tailored pieces for men. Checks were aplenty as they spruced up the laidback shirtdresses, polos, and chino shorts presented by Original Penguin and Gant. Perry Ellis elevated the checks further by pairing basics with tailored jackets and overcoats. Gap joined in the checks craze, too, in breezy weekend wear in light colors and fabrics.

Rainy season fashion also got an upgrade through graphics and prints from Aeropostale, Superdry, Topman and Porsche Design. Mango showed sleek and edgy shirts, dresses. and jumpsuits enlivened in various patterns.

Paul & Shark, Onitsuka Tiger, and Ben Sherman stuck to brights like yellow, green, and turquoise. Arrow and Anne Klein combined looks for work and the weekend in polos and tees and shorts for the men, and dresses and pants for the women. DKNY scored major style stars for its Mondrian shift dresses while Mico Botique impressed with its paneled evening wear set in pastel colors.

The flower fad bloomed in collections from The Ramp Crossings, Warehouse, CLN, Springfield, Debenhams, and BCBGMaxAzria.

Leaf patterns took centerstage in the fashion finds from Marks & Spencer, Nautica, Topshop, Banana Republic, and Versace Jeans. Desigual, British India, K&Company, and Bebe also ventured into art-digital prints.
