Cynos ambassador Alex Carbonell leads seminar for salon professionals

Alex Carbonell demonstrates color and cutting techniques at Cynos seminar series.

MANILA, Philippines - For three years now in the Philippines, international hair care brand Cynos has been instrumental in helping hairdressers and salon owners stay relevant in an industry that is continuously evolving.

And through its annual Look and Learn seminar series, Cynos helps them sharpen their skills and provides them with more product knowledge and understanding of product usage for different hair types, tools and equipment used for cutting and styling hair.

This year, Cynos brand ambassador Alex Carbonell, creative and learning director of Bench Fix Salon and the creative director of Studio Fix Salon, spearheads the seminar and joins Cynos’ general manager Rosa Ramos-Cinco; marketing manager Lynne Ona and the brand’s technical team. The event commenced on February 27 in Cabanatuan and Tarlac. It was then held in Cebu City last March 17 where some 300 participants attended. Subsequent venues of the seminar are lined up this year namely in Baguio, Quezon City, Pampanga and Davao. The seminar is a continuation of Cynos’ first Lokbook project where the brand teaches hairdressers color and cutting techniques helpful in achieving Cynos’s stylish looks.

Alex, the acknowledged king of cut and color, shares his precision-cutting techniques as well as ways to choose the right hair color to complement one’s skin tone.  He works his magic on the tresses of some of the country’s famous celebrities and beauty-conscious Filipinas. He is popular for his signature layered cuts that get better as the hair grows.

“Cynos inspires career growth and creativity by elevating the old ways of doing things to a more efficient and professional approach,” Alex says. “We aim to enhance the participants’ artistry, talent and skills through continuous education and proper training as well as empowering them with the right tools in achieving that hair beauty perfection.”

The seminar focused on Cynos color products, particularly combining Cynos Protein Peptide Treatment (PPT) that can help achieve better color results without compromising the hair’s vibrancy. Its Keratonz “hair cocktails,” an innovative hair color with Keratin and H.E.S. (high energy sphere) particles, leaves hair essentially damage free. Totally ammonia and peroxide free, it is featured in the Cynos collection of Alex that highlights variety of vibrant color shades especially for summer. Kerasilk Zero Keratin Smoothing treatment is also featured for clients looking for organic alternatives, because it is 100 percent hyde and thioglycolic free.
