MANILA, Philippines - Topshop styles the hottest trends with an inspired collection of 40 dresses called “Dress Up,” specially designed to turn heads on the party scene.
The brand reinvents punk fashion and layers it with feminine elements like ruffles and vibrant colors for a “bad girl”-cum-disco glam look.
Black is featured prominently in the collection, but is anything but plain as Topshop incorporates unique finishes, soft fabrics and dainty details — tutus, chiffon, gold studding and polka dots — with shapes that highlight a woman’s curves. A key piece is the black leather dress with ruffled sleeves accented with gold studs. Another is a modern take on the classic black jersey dress, updated with intricate beading and mesh sleeves. For the girl who loves to experiment, a tube dress in tulle is perfect to reveal her more daring side.
For those who prefer pops of color, a sequined sheath dress has just the right amount of glitz. Also worthy of the dance floor is a tassel-trimmed frock, a ruched dress in midnight red, and a floral number with tiered skirt.
For those who want goddess glam, Topshop has draped, pleated and folded pastel dresses in soft yellow, peach and pink.
A dose of ’50s nostalgia is seen in the prom-style outfits with full skirts and tutus, which can be worn with platform shoes and white socks.
The Dress Up collection is exclusively available at Topshop Power Plant Mall.
