MANILA, Philippines - Living a curious life leads to myriad possibilities for adventure and knowledge, and this is what the National Geographic Channel (NGC) and Regatta are all about. The two brands have recently formed a partnership to promote NGC’s “Live Curious” campaign, a global program that promotes the spirit of curiosity and adventure.
Nat Geo, one of the largest non-profit scientific and educational institutions in the world, has been inspiring people to care about the planet since 1888 with pioneering studies and explorations in various fields of learning, such as geography, archaeology, and natural science. Regatta, known as a leisure wear brand offering high-quality casual wear since 1989, shares similar values, promoting love for a good life, and love for adventure.
The “Live Curious” campaign is about exploration, pioneering and questioning, which capture Nat Geo’s and Regatta’s shared spirit. No matter what country we live in or language we speak, “Everything deserves a ‘Why’.” Through this campaign, Regatta and NGC aim to inspire people to question what they know, how they view the world, and what drives them forward. Regatta and Nat Geo launched their statement shirts which are available at all Regatta boutiques nationwide when you sign up for a National Geographic society membership, most prominently at Alabang Town Center (ATC), Greenbelt 3, Glorietta 3, Ayala TriÑoma, SM The Block, and Gateway. These shirts, which will be showcased in Regatta’s show windows and in-store displays, will bear the two brands’ bold advocacy for curiosity and satisfying one’s desire for learning.
National Geographic chose Filipino personalities who live curious and have excelled in their chosen professions and endeavors to become NGC’s local ambassadors for its “Live Curious” global program. These local ambassadors embody the spirit of curiosity and adventure in their work and personal lives. They have the power to inspire Filipinos to always ask questions and, ultimately, help NGC in its global mission to inspire people to care about the planet. The “Live Curious” ambassadors are filmmaker and writer Joey Reyes, marketing executive Francis Flores, TV host/producer and advocate for children Daphne Oseña-Paez, advertising executive Norman Agatep, and Rock Ed Philippines founder Gang Badoy.
Local ambassadors also include science writer and The Mind Museum curator Maribel Garcia, WWF-Philippines CEO Jose Ma. Lorenzo Tan, educational media producer Mitzi Borromeo, and social ecopreneur Bryan Benitez McClelland. In partnership with fashion and conceptual photographer Niccolo Cosme, the Makeup Forum, the Ayala Malls and The Mind Museum, the “Live Curious” photo exhibit will also be on display at Glorietta 4 (Oct. 7-10), Trinoma Mall (Oct. 21-24), Ayala Center Cebu (Nov. 4-7), and Bonifacio High Street (Nov. 13-14).
