Estee Lauder's anti-wrinkle eye crème: The eyes have it

MANILA, Philippines - Estee Lauder broke new ground in skincare science with the introduction of Time Zone line and wrinkle-reducing moisturizers, the first moisturizers developed to target and measurably reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and help skin to behave in a younger way. Today, again inspired by the revolutionary science of cellular regeneration, Estee Lauder introduces the latest addition to the Time Zone franchise with its most age-defying eye crème yet: Time Zone anti-line/wrinkle eye crème, which features exclusive, advanced anti-wrinkle technologies that help dramatically diminish the look of lines and wrinkles, reversing the key signs of apparent aging around the eye area for a years-younger look.

This wonder eye crème contains three powerful anti-wrinkle technologies: Sirtuin EX-1 technology, a new concentrated tri-hyaluronic complex, and a new biomimetic barrier complex. Time Zone anti-line/wrinkle eye crème is so effective that in clinical testing, every single woman tested showed a reduction in the look of lines and wrinkles around the eyes in just four weeks.

This eye crème has been designed with a modern, universally appealing crème texture that glides on easily without pulling or tugging. Skin around the eyes is left feeling hydrated and silky-smooth while the subtle optics provide immediate radiance.

Estee Lauder is available at Rustan’s Department Stores.

Let’s Spa-Rty, Says California Nails And Day Spa

Believing that every girl is a princess, and all princesses deserve to be pampered, California Nails and Day Spa launched its first kiddie spa party.

Coinciding with the birthday celebration of spa owner Leslie Matta’s seven-year-old daughter Gidget, the kiddie spa party was every girl’s dream party. The invited “princesses” chose from Mini Manicure, Cupcake Pedicure, Milky Way Facial, or a Diva Massage.

Every girl was attended to and assisted by professional nail technicians, nail artists, spa therapists, and aestheticians. Girls who opted for Mini Manicure enjoyed the nail cleaning, hand massage, colorful nail polishes, and cute nail art designs. The Cupcake Pedicure is so named because when mommies visit the spa for a treatment with their little girls in tow, the spa attendants give each girl a special cupcake as a treat. The Milky Way Facial is a relaxing facial massage for young girls using simple techniques and hypoallergenic products, while the Diva Massage is a relaxing head-to-foot massage.

Check out California Nail Spa’s kiddie spa party packages such as Diva’s Delight (P5,000 inclusive of nail art, Mini Manicure, and Cupcake Pedicure for kids six to 10 years old), the Gidget’s Spa Party, and Little Spa-rty (P12,000 for girls 16 to 20 years old).

Cetaphil Is ‘Best Cleanser For Dry And Sensitive Skin’ For 2009

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser was cited as one of the best beauty buys for 2009 by international fashion publication InStyle magazine. Named the “Best Cleanser for Dry Skin” and “Best Cleanser for Sensitive Skin” in the annual beauty survey, the facial wash was distinguished for its ultra-mild, soap-free formulation.

The six-month “Best Beauty Buys” survey conducted by Elizabeth Lamont Mendoza and reported by Nicole Crane in InStyle magazine involved 163 reviews from dermatologists, makeup artists, and beauty editors on thousands of beauty products.

Respondents claimed that the gentle, milky cleanser was ideal even on the most sensitive of complexions because it removed dirt without stripping off the skin’s natural oils to keep it soft and supple. “It’s more of a lotion, so it removes dirt and debris without affecting the top barrier of the skin,” said Cheryl Burgess, InStyle survey respondent and Washington DC, USA dermatologist.

Unlike other facial washes, Cetaphil gets rid of dirt and oil without being too harsh on the skin’s surface. InStyle Best Beauty Buys survey respondent and Dallas, USA dermatologist Allison Singer recommended that those with dry skin can put the cleanser on without water and wipe it off with a damp wash cloth afterwards.

A hall of fame and multi-year awardee of InStyle magazine’s Best Beauty Buys survey, Cetaphil is produced and distributed by Galderma. It is available in liquid form (60 ml. and 250 ml.), and in either gentle or anti-bacterial cleansing bars (127 g.). Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser (125 ml.) is also available for oily skin complexion. Cetaphil is available in leading drugstores and supermarkets nationwide.

Banana Boat Sun Protection helps prevent premature aging

Sunblocks are essential to skin for they help prevent premature aging and skin cancer. Skin experts say almost 90 percent of skin cancers are caused by overexposure to ultra violet rays. So always make sure you are protected. Here’s a quick guide to get the best sun protection:

1. Get a sunblock that has SPF 30 or higher. Sun Protection Factor or SPF determines the extent sunblocks filter UV rays. Most dermatologists recommend sunblocks with SPF 30 or higher.

2. Apply sunblock 30 minutes before going out. Provide your skin with enough time to absorb the sunblock’s ingredients before hitting the streets. This will ensure the sunblock’s effectiveness.

3. Get a sunblock with UVA and UVB protection. UV rays have two types — UVB rays and UVA rays. UVB rays cause sunburns and most types of skin cancer while UVA rays accelerate premature skin aging. For complete protection against UVB and UVA rays, try Playtex’s Banana Boat Sun Protection in SPF 30 and 50. The Banana Boat Sun Protection lasts longer than ordinary sunscreens. It uses patented AvoTriplex technology to provide protection against sunburn, long-term skin damage, and skin aging. It also contains aloe vera to skin moisturized all day.

4. Consider your activity. Your activity will determine the type of sunblock you’ll need. Waterproof sunblocks are suited for water sports and sweat-resistant sunblocks are best for sweat-inducing activities like tennis and jogging. Banana Boat’s Sport Performance sunblock is resistant to both sweat and water. Especially formulated to avoid perspiration and allow moisture to pass through, the Banana Boat Sport Performance sunblock is suited for your active lifestyle. Its Dri-Blok Sport variant contains Power Dri technology which enables the sunblock to dry up in seconds, just like powder. Banana Boat’s Dri-Blok variant also has AVOTriplex technology.

5. Get your daily dose of vitamin D. Do not overuse sunblocks. Remember that early morning sunlight is the ultimate source for vitamin D, so try to catch some of it when you can.
