Plains & Prints sails high with marine style

MANILA, Philippines - What’s new? What’s hot? Plains & Prints says it’s time to make a splash with all things marine.

The brand is always on its toes in bringing the latest fad from the world of global fashion. Plains & Prints finds inspiration from international fashion weeks, particularly those staged in clothes capital such as New York, Milan and Paris. Each idea is carefully assessed by the brand’s creative pool of in-house designers to make sure that the trend will fit local setting.

For this season, Plains & Prints launched its marine collection, which made its debut during the recent Philippine Fashion Week. According to Roxanne Farillas, the lady behind the success of Plains & Prints, the marine style is the trend on the international scene since it’s summer in the western part of the globe.

What came out is a series of fresh tops, skirts and dresses perfect for evening or office wear that has hints of marine, ocean-inspired colors of blue, white and red.

The marine collection boasts tailored tops and dresses with Plains & Prints’ signature details of intricate folds and ruffles. A marine-inspired striped dress made of silky material, for example, can be paired with a wide belt and floppy hat for an instant romantic ensemble for a big date. A marine blue slip dress, on the other hand, is accessorized with pearls, knee-high socks and girly headband for a Gossip Girl feel. A tunic-type top with delicate straps and marine block print in front can be worn with formal slacks for a powerful office wardrobe or paired with flirty shorts for instant casual glam.

“The trick with the new collection is layering, and that’s the option we’re trying to present to women who value their sense of style. Every piece is an investment since they can use it for any need. With our clothes, their fashion sense would always spell chic and trendy,” added Roxanne.
