Diminishing wrinkles in just eight weeks

Dear Lucy,

What is a good wrinkle reducer? I want a product that really, really works; I do not mind paying a bit more as long as it delivers. Also, what product can I use to clean my bags and shoes? I get confused by the many choices available. I want one foolproof product that will work for all colors and on both leather and synthetic materials.

Do try Murad’s miraculous Intensive Wrinkle Reducer. It has GlycoNutrient Complex, which has been clinically proven to regenerate the skin’s appearance by boosting collagen production. It promises to diminish fine lines and wrinkles within eight weeks, clarifying skin, thus making for a firmer and more glowing complexion. It costs P6,900, but I say it is definitely worth it. Murad is available at Rustan’s Essenses.

For my bags and shoes, I have been using only one product — Ilog Maria leather balsam. It’s available only in their shop in Tagaytay, but it is easy to order online. Just log on to www.ilogmaria.com. They send the product via courier for a very reasonable fee. Their service is excellent so ordering is no hassle at all.                  Lucy

Nail Dilemma: Toe Be Or Not Toe Be

Dear Rissa,

I’ve been having my nails done at this place, but I haven’t been happy with the way they do manicures and pedicures. The manicurista recently cut my toenails and cuticles too much so that they got wounded and I now have an ingrown nail. I just want to ask where you have your nails done. Thanks!

Tisha

I love having manicures and pedicures. In modeling, where high heels are an everyday torture, pedicures and foot massages are a definite treat! When the tips of my toes and fingers aren’t clean and polished, I also don’t feel well-groomed. I’m very particular about how my nails are cut and shaped. You should be, too. If it’s not in your manicurista’s practice and training to ask about your preferences, speak up. If there’s a particular shape you want or you have specific instructions on how you want your nails done, communication with the person doing your nails is essential. For proper care of my hands and feet, I go to Bench Fix and Nail Spa (they have branches located at Shangri-La Mall, Rustan’s Essenses, and Gamboa St., Makati.) I’ve been a loyal fan of these two places. They’ve completely changed my mani/pedi experience. No one does it better (and more properly!) than them. I’ll admit I’m very anal about how my nails are done. Before, when I’d go to other places, I’d find myself closely watching over the way my nails were being done. It was hard to relax and enjoy this allocated time for pampering. But when your tips and toes are in the hands of an expert, you’ll truly feel like a pampered princess — no stress and no worries.  And no wounds!

Rissa
