Why itch not safe to stay under the sun

Dear Rissa,
I have very sensitive skin and I made the mistake of staying too long under the sun. My skin got too dry; it’s now flaking. What can I use to soothe and heal it? Please recommend a product that’s safe for my sensitive skin.

I also recently hit the beach. Apart from too much sun, the salt water really dried up my skin. I ended my trip with dry, itchy skin. I tried the Rose & Jasmine Body Oil from the Organic Pharmacy (exclusively available at Rustan’s Essenses). After a few minutes, my skin was soothed. All the itchy swollen patches disappeared. I’m not exaggerating. I found out later on that the Organic Pharmacy was founded by Margo Marrone. During her pregnancy, she vowed to use natural and organic products. But the products on the market that claimed to be all-organic and natural were not and rarely worked effectively. In the past four years, the Organic Pharmacy has become a trusted name in health and beauty. Celebrity fans include Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, Kylie Minogue, Beyonce, and Claudia Schiffer. Their products are just pure organic extracts, free from artificial preservatives, colorants, fragrances, and petrochemicals. Their Rose & Jasmine Body Oil is perfect for moisturizing your sensitive skin. Ideal as a massage oil, it also works hard to rid the body of toxins; to improve micro circulation, elimination, and oxygenation.

Kids Just Wanna Have Fun In The Sun
Hi, Lucy!
We are spending the whole of May until the first week of June in our beach resort in the south. I have three kids, ages 9, 7, and 4, and my problem is I cannot keep them away from the sun! They are forever building sandcastles, swimming, and running along the beach picking up seashells. I make them use a sunblock, but I’m not very confident that it works. Can you recommend a sunblock especially for children?
– Concerned Mom

I am very happy with the Sunscreen Cream from Clarins. This smooth, gentle cream with 100 percent mineral filters is especially designed for a child’s fragile skin and is even water-resistant. I love that it is so because it takes care of the skin even while the child swims. The cream remains white for a few moments so you can actually see which areas are covered. The tube with the flip top cap makes it very handy, too. Hope that helps. There is nothing happier than a child playing under the summer sun!

Shoe Proud To Be Pinoy
Dear Tingting,
When I came across your article titled "Shoe many custom-made beauties to choose from," I was totally floored. Brian of Tenorio is also a friend of mine so allow me to take the liberty of introducing another dear friend — Tristann Antonio, who handpaints made-to-order shoes. Each pair is therefore one-of-a-kind. What’s more, each pair of these unique shoes purchased helps improve the lives of our indigenous brothers and sisters, particularly the Aetas in Mt. Pinatubo. I hope this additional information helps, especially for Rannie who wrote to ask about custom-made shoes. Tristann Antonio can be reached at cell phone number 0916-7230324 or you can e-mail merc8ph@yahoo.co.uk,
– Carole Lee

Thanks for the additional info, Carole. Brian, Tristann, and many other local craftsmen truly give so much honor to our country. And the country is shoe proud of all its local talents.
