MANILA, Philippines — World–renowned pianist Cecile Licad delighted guests with a magnificent all-Chopin piano concert entitled “Cecile Licad: I Love Chopin” at the main lounge of Manila Polo Club in Makati City last Nov. 27.

Cecile Licad is a globally renowned “Steinway artist.” She played on a Steinway B-211 grand piano – a masterfully crafted German-made instrument with uncompromising sound. The very piano that she played on was on sale that evening with a good discount.

Co-produced by Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra Society president Zenaida Tantoco along with Amelita Guevara and her son Chips, the special performance was made possible through Philippine Airlines and the PAL Foundation as they fly Cecile from NYC roundtrip for this event to let Filipinos once again enjoy and revel in her talent.

The concert was also a fund-raising event for the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra Society Inc. and Childhope Philippines Inc., a foundation that has cared for over 10,000 street children since 1989.
