Museo Pambata’s gift to children

MANILA, Philippines – Christmas became a much more memorable occasion for 700 indigent children last December 18 when Museo Pambata conducted for them a gift-giving activity and special tour of the country’s first hands-on discovery museum for children in celebration of its 22nd anniversary.

Museo Pambata was abuzz with live shows while children from Bahay Tuluyan, Child Hope, Sun For All Children and 17 Manila barangays toured the museum’s seven interactive theme rooms. The tour culminated in a gift-giving activity where children took home bagsful of food, toys and school supplies from sponsors including The Philippine STAR and The Fookien Times Yearbook Publishing Co., Inc.

For the past 22 years, Museo Pambata has brought cheer to countless children by opening its doors and giving out gifts on its anniversary.

“One of Museo Pambata’s primary goals of is to enhance the lives of children. If we can make them happy even for just a day by doing this, then we would have achieved that goal,” said Nina Yuson, Museo Pambata president and CEO.
