MANILA, Philippines - Artist Alexander Charriol’s travelling exhibition, The Human Flow Project, makes its way to Manila for a fourth successful rendezvous around the world. After previously making waves in Hong Kong’s The Space in 2013, Bangkok’s Lotus l’Art de Vivre Gallery in 2012 and New York in 2010, Charriol’s pop-art works of pastel and acrylic find their way to the Altro Mondo Arte Contemporanea in Greenbelt 5 for a two-week long show that opened last May 22. An autobiographical exhibition at first glance, the works are overwhelmingly universal despite detailing the artist’s multicultural and fast-paced lifestyle. Born in Honolulu, Hawaii to French parents and raised on three continents, Alexander Charriol first exhibited at the London Muse in 1995 and to this day continues to show at prestigious locations such as LHTM Gallery in New York, the Yoshii Gallery of Paris and Japan, The Ayala Museum in Manila, and ArtSpace Dubai.
