MANILA, Philippines - The spectacle of beautiful fabrics and designs that denote both glamour and sophistication without baring a lot of skin embodied the carefully put together collections that made up the 2012 edition of the Islamic Fashion Festival (IFF) presented by the Embassy of Malaysia at the Grand Ballroom of InterContinental Manila recently. Launched in 2006 by Dato’ Raja Rezza Shah, a Renaissance man of royal descent, with the aim of showing the gentle side of Islam and the beauty of diversity through fashion, the festival has since been presented to international acclaim in key cities around the world. The Manila show served as the curtain-raiser to this year’s series.
