Linking ‘big brothers’ with small entrepreneurs

Host Kris Aquino links small business owner Luis Bueno Jr. with Bounty Fresh president Tennyson Chen. The two agree to talk about exploring the possibility of Bueno supplying his chili products for Bountry Fresh’s new pre-marinated chicken line.

The concept behind Go Negosyo and the Department of Trade and Industry’s “Kapatid, Angat Lahat” program is to link small entrepreneurs to big-brother companies for the prosperity for all.

Just recently, at the National MSME Summit 2016 held in Davao, we had a town-hall session with micro and small entrepreneurs and big-brother entrepreneurs such as Tessie Sy Coson (SM Investments); Feliciano Torres (Yazaki Torres); Manny Osmeña (Manny O Group); Tennyson Chen (Bounty Fresh); William Belo (Wilcon Depot); Alice Eduardo (Sta. Elena Corporation); Rosalind Wee (W Group); Glenn Yu (Seaoil); George Barcelon (PCCI); Santi Araneta (LBC); and Sammy Uy (DIMDI).

Sen. Miguel Zubiri, Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, Labor Secretary Bebot Bello, Agriculture Secretary Manny Pinol, and Rep. Joey Salceda also joined us.

Kris Aquino, who is an advocate of Go Negosyo and MSME development, moderated the engagement among micro and large entrepreneurs. She prepared well for the program, and even studied the profiles of the micro entrepreneurs and how they could be linked to the other entrepreneurs on stage.

Through this engagement, we were able to help the micro entrepreneurs get support and help from the big brothers.

In the photos are the highlights of the town-hall session.
