MANILA, Philippines - In line with the celebration of the Heritage Month of May, the UST Museum mounts an exhibit by renowned floral artist Rachy Cuna, on view until June 30 at the UST Museum Main Gallery, Mezzanine Level, Main Bldg, University of Santo Tomas, España, Manila. This exhibit is also an extension of the “dramaCuna” exhibition of the National Museum.
Each of Cuna’s pieces has a story to tell. He has given floral designs an approach with so much enthusiasm, discipline and reverence. He even used indigenous and local materials like wood, fruits, leaves, flowers, grains, rattan, and coconut just to give uniqueness on his craft. “Each has to have enough drama to draw attention, make a statement, delight the senses and convey the message that ours, indeed, is an abundant, beautiful, perfect world,” says Cuna.
