MANILA, Philippines - “Habla español?” Throughout this summer, Instituto Cervantes will offer kids and teenagers an opportunity to delve into and learn another language with their Spanish Summer Program.
Instituto Cervantes, the only official Spanish Government Language Center, has developed an engaging program that allows children and teenagers to acquire Spanish naturally while exploring their world through playful interaction.
The Spanish Summer Programs are small (minimum of eight and maximum of 15 students) to maintain the quality of learning at Instituto Cervantes and grouped according to both age and language proficiency to ensure maximum learning for each individual.
The Spanish for Children Program is designed as a fun way to start learning Spanish at a young age through recreational activities. Two options are available for this program: Group 1, for children ages six to eight, has a total of 15 hours at one hour per session. It is scheduled every Wednesday and Friday from 9 to 10 a.m.; and Group 2, for children ages 9 to 12, has a total of 22 hours and 30 minutes at one and a half hour per session. It is scheduled from 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays.
The Spanish for Teenagers, on the other hand, is an interactive eight-week course designed for 14 to 17-year-old high school students. Classes are offered on Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 to 3 p.m.
Classes for the Spanish summer program (Group 1, Group 2, and Teenagers) start on April 7 and conclude on May 28. Last day of enrolment is on April 5.
Instituto Cervantes knows that summer is the time for a break from the usual books and structured learning. Time to put the “hard stuff” aside and experience learning a language with games, conversation, skills and fun!
Course fee for the Spanish for Children is P2,185 (Group 1) and P3,280 (Group 2) while Spanish for Teenagers cost P3,800.
