MANILA, Philippines - The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) recently launched Genesis, the 40th anniversary commemorative magazine. Genesis is edited by Doreen Yu with graphic designer Francisco “Dopy” Doplon. Genesis was presented to the former presidents of the institution, Jaime Zobel de Ayala, Francisco del Rosario, Jr., Baltazar Endriga, and Armita Rufino. The launching of Genesis formed part of the yearlong celebration of the center’s anniversary.
Some of the featured personalities featured in Genesis include former First Lady Imelda Romualdez Marcos, Antonio Cojuangco, Zenaida R. Tantoco, Arturo Luz, Rachelle Gerodias, and Heracleo Oracion.
The magazine culled contributions from 20 writers, namely STAR Lifestyle editor Millet Martinez-Mananquil, STAR Art & Culture columnist Juaniyo Arcellana, STAR Lifestyle columnist Jessica Zafra, Girlie Aragon, Jeremy Barns, Hermie Beltran, Carmencita Jasareno-Bernardo, Della Gamboa-Besa, Edward delos Santos Cabagnot, Eden Estopace, Patrick Flores, Glenn Gale, Noordin Jumalon, Michele Logarta, , Sam Marcelo, Rosalinda Orosa, Eva Mari Salvador, and Dr. Nicanor Tiongson, among others. Photographs in the magazine were taken by The Camera Club of the Philippines and The Nayon Photographers Club (NYC).
