Charity dinner and art auction at Chateau 1771

MANILA, Philippines - Chateau 1771 in Greenbelt 5 will be the venue of a dinner and silent art auction to be held on tomorrow at 7 p.m.

Proceeds of the dinner and auction will benefit the children of Virlanie Foundation Inc., a private non-sectarian child caring institution in Manila founded by Frenchman Dominique Lemay in 1992.

The art auction will feature drawings done by street children in collaboration with visual artist Monnar Baldemor.

The dinner, priced at P2,000 will showcase the best of Chateau 1771’s No Borders cuisine.

The money that will be raised will fund Virlanie’s programs for street children: its outreach programs (the temporary reception center, the mobile unit, the open day center, the family programs), its residential programs with its 12 family homes, and its programs towards independent and sustainable life.

Virlanie Foundation Inc. serves children found living in the streets as well as those referred by other institutions. All its programs aim at reintegrating the children in the life in community, restoring their self-confidence, and, ultimately, helping them to become independent and responsible persons.

For inquiries and reservations, call Chateau 1771 at 729-9760 to 61.

Chateau 1771 is at the ground floor of Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center, Makati City.
