MANILA, Philippines - With the theme “Your Environment Shapes You,” Metrobank Foundation (MBFI) holds the Metrobank Art and Design (MADE) Interior Design Competition in recognition of the country’s talented artists and designers who believe in the importance of creativity and sustainability for the society’s holistic development.
Together with Federal Land, MBFI invites all licensed interior designers ages 25 to 45 years old to join the annual competition. Two finalists will be chosen to execute their design in selected units of Federal Land’s quality residential projects.
This year, The Capital Towers will be used for the competition. The Capital Towers is Federal Land’s newest venture in Quezon City. With its efficient building planning and space management, this residential condominium is envisioned to give city dwellers the freedom to live a healthy life.
In line with the competition’s theme “Eco-Interior Design Towards a Sustainable Future,” participants are encouraged to maximize limited resources by turning old items to new pieces, balancing form and function and ultimately reinventing space toward conservation.
Aside from interior design, there are three other competitions for painting, sculpture and architecture.
Grand prizewinners in the painting, sculpture, architecture and interior design categories will receive a cash prize of P200,000 each. Second and third prizewinners in the oil painting competition will receive P170,000 and 150,000, respectively, while special prizewinners in the water media painting, sculpture, architecture and interior design will receive P150,000 each. All the winners will be presented to the public during the awarding ceremonies and exhibit in September.
