MANILA, Philippines - Ballet Manila encourages kids to become “storytellers on toes” as it holds its summer workshop and conducts auditions for scholarship on March 14 and 21 at Studio 3 of Ballet Manila School, 1915, Donada St., Pasay City.
Auditions are open to all aspiring dancers with ages 13 to 18 years old with a minimum of one-year ballet experience for girls, while boys need not have previous dance experience. Girls’ attire should be tights, leotards and ballet shoes; for boys, jogging pants and white T-shirt.
Registration is ongoing until March 14 for the March 14 auditions, and from March 15 to 21 for the March 21 auditions. Registration fee is P200.
The summer workshop begins on April 1 and culminates in a two-day recital on May 23 and 24 at Star Theater. Enrollment for the summer workshop is ongoing.
