GoNegosyo talks with Mar Roxas

TV5 news and information head Luchi Cruz Valdez (fourth from left) acted as moderator during the forum with Mar Roxas (fifth from left) and my fellow panelists (from left) Tina Papillon, Dr. Vicki Belo, lawyer Mike Toledo, Ramon Lopez and Olivia Limpe-Aw.

Joey Concepcion’s GoNegosyo has partnered with PLDT SME Nation, Smart Communications and TV5 to bring the “Meet the Presidentiables” series of forums to give not only the business community but also the Filipino voters the opportunity to hear what presidential candidates have to say on various issues particularly on economic and entrepreneurship development.

The second run of the presidentiables series with Liberal Party candidate Mar Roxas was held at the Manila Polo Club in Makati City with myself, MVP Group media bureau chief Mike Toledo, “doctor to the stars” Dr. Vicki Belo, Destileria Limtuaco president and CEO Olivia Limpe-Aw, Tina Morados-Papillon of Club Eco Farm and GoNegosyo executive director Ramon Lopez as panelists during the episode taped as live (to be aired over TV5 on Dec. 10 at 1:45 p.m.) with TV5 news and information head Luchi Cruz Valdez as moderator for the roundtable discussion.

Joey Concepcion invited top businessmen, a few politicians and government officials and top executives as well as young entrepreneurs to the event. Mar was very articulate and was obviously relaxed with the crowd, easily answering questions with a good sense of humor as well, especially during commercial breaks.

Now on its 10th year, the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship/GoNegosyo continues to make a difference in the lives of many Filipinos especially small- and medium-scale entrepreneurs through summits and caravans as well as telemagazines and TV shows that feature successful entrepreneurs and provide business tips to those who are just starting out.

Congratulations to the GoNegosyo team for the successful event and for giving Filipinos the chance to hear and see the people who may lead this country in the next six years. Photos by Ramon Joseph J. Ruiz
