Honoring a diplomat

The hosts, Ambassador Roberto ‘Bobby’ Romulo and wife Olivia (extreme left and third from left), with Vicky Cuisia and husband, Philippine Ambassador to the United States Joey Cuisia.

A cocktail party was hosted by Ambassador Roberto BobbyRomulo and his lovely wife Olivia in honor of Philippine Ambassador to the United States Joey Cuisia and his charming wife Vicky at the elegant Romulo residence in Makati City.

There was no need for prodding from the gracious hosts for the guests to proceed to Maria Luisa’s Garden Room where a splendid dinner awaited them.

The dinner guests included Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert del Rosario and his glamorous wife Gretchen, SGV & Co. founder Washington SyCip, former Finance Secretary Ramon del Rosario and senior officials of the Department of Foreign Affairs as well as close friends of the Cuisias and the Romulos.

Obviously, Ambassador Cuisia is highly regarded in social circles.  Ambassador Romulo even praised Cuisia as being the “ideal diplomat for Washington.”

Here’s to you, Joey and Vicky!
