Green-letter days

MANILA, Philippines - A series of activities has been lined up by the executive committee for alumni of De La Salle High School Class ‘62 in celebrating its 50th year. Class ‘62 has produced a number of prominent names in industry, government and society. Some of them have volunteered to actively engage their school buddies in bonding events starting off with a Kick-off on the Greens, a golf tournament to be held on Feb. 21 at the Alabang Country Club. Following that day on the turf, the committee has organized a tour of the DLSU Dasmariñas Cavite Museum. On Feb. 25, husbands and wives are invited to a Welcome Dinner Dance at the Wack Wack Village Clubhouse, which will feature memoirs of class reunions. The Rockin’ Revival band will definitely revive memories of those glory days when students knew how to party! And to provide a restful R & R, couples are invited to holiday in Palawan to experience the thrill of seeing the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River, now officially declared one of the modern-day Seven Wonders of the World. The group will stay at the Microtel, owned by the family of Class ‘62 alumnus Ramon del Rosario.

On March 3, the official homecoming day at La Salle Greenhills will open with a parade of colors. All alumni are encouraged to attend this green-letter day. The final event will be a Despedida Dinner Dance at the Manila Polo Club, wherein all class members will receive token giveaways for this truly once-in-a-lifetime happening.
