“Don’t be dismayed by good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again.
And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends.”
— Richard Bach
Ambassador Lani Bernardo and his wife Conchitina recently hosted a farewell dinner in honor of former Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) chairman Manuel “Manolo” Lopez, who is the new Philippine Ambassador to Japan, replacing career diplomat Domingo Siazon Jr. Held at the function room of the Luna Tower in Rockwell, Makati, the elegant affair was attended by notable personalities from the diplomatic, social and business circles including Araneta Group chairman and president Jorge Araneta and Lopez Group Foundation, Inc. chairman Oscar Lopez. From the delectable food and the sparkling wines to the cozy, intimate venue, the gracious hosts did an excellent job in organizing the dinner and entertaining guests. Ambassador Lopez, who came with sophisticated wife Maritess, was truly overwhelmed with the outpouring of love and support he received from friends and colleagues who personally came to wish him luck and continued success. It was indeed a memorable night thoroughly enjoyed by everyone!
Congratulations Ambassador Lopez and have a safe trip!
