MANILA, Philippines – What do you need to know about cosmetic surgery? How safe is the procedure? How capable are our doctors? What are the latest trends and innovations in this industry? And of course, there’s the million-peso question: Is it really worth going under the knife?
Your questions will be answered during the Pan Pacific Aesthetic Institute’s (PPAI) first cosmetic surgery convention, featuring state-of-the-art technologies and the latest trends in the industry, on Oct. 17 and 18 at the Lung Center of the Philippines and SM Megamall Megatrade Hall respectively. The two-day event dubbed as “Pan Pacific Aesthetic Institute (PPAI) 1st Annual Convention 2010” will have seven of the country’s foremost cosmetic surgeons, who actually comprise PPAI, at the helm of shedding light about the latest technology and up-to-date techniques in cosmetic surgery. Headed by its current president, Dr. Porfirio Tica, the two-day convention will also have the institute’s prime movers, namely Dr. Romeo Bato, over-all chairperson of this year’s event, Dr. Benjamin Alonzo, Dr. Anthony Joson, D. Rufino Jose Agoba, Dr. Roberto Cuerpo and Dr. Editha Gascon. All are well-respected cosmetic surgeons in the country who studied and gained extensive training and experience locally and abroad.
Tica said, PPAI commits to give the most professional, best and excellent services using the latest technology and up-to-date techniques in cosmetic surgery at reasonable prices. Most of all, it is the first institution to offer and provide formal training to fellow doctors to further educate and enhance the knowledge of other cosmetic surgery practitioners in this field. Part of the group’s mission is to push the quality standards of the country’s cosmetic surgery industry and be recognized worldwide. The PPAI 1st Annual Convention is a big step towards the achievement of this goal.”
The first annual PPAI cosmetic surgery convention in the country will conduct a live surgical workshop in front of the participants and guests at the Lung Center of the Philippines on Oct. 17. On Oct. 18 at the Megamall Megatrade Hall, a wellness and beauty expo featuring an array of the latest technology and products related to the beauty and cosmetic surgery industry will be held.
