MANILA, Philippines - Marco Polo Davao unveiled the masterpieces of Rachy Cuna when the hotel hosted a three-week celebration of the Filipino Heritage Festival. A hundred invited guests attended the opening cocktails for Cuna’s exhibit HABI NATIN: A Celebration of Mindanao’s Woven Heritage. Visitors experienced the first exhibit of its kind ever mounted in Davao that showcased 11 floral art installations displayed in the hotel’s grand lobby.
Cuna’s exhibit featured a grand Mindanao’s installation using local woven and other indigenous materials.
Best known for his natural, free-flowing and avant-garde work, acclaimed floral architect Rachy Cuna has established himself as an artist who can speak the language of flowers in all its forms. Lauded not just in the Philippines but elsewhere, Cuna has received numerous accolades for his creative ventures from painting to interior design, packaging and floral arranging.
