And now... A medical boutique!

MANILA, Philippines - Knowing that the quest for beauty does not stop at having healthy skin, House of Obagi (HOO) is launching the HOO Center for Dermatology this year. The “boutique” integrates the expertise of Filipino doctors, internationally recognized signature treatments and high-end, medical-grade skin-care products. And to complete its range of treatments, selected branches will soon be partnering with cosmetic surgery and cosmetic dentistry while still carrying skin-care brands like Obagi, Colorescience and MD Lash.

The benchmark for beauty has changed for both men and women. With aesthetic procedures readily available to the market through the HOO Center for Dermatology, we now have the option to redefine our own beauty and feel confident that the doctors who will be performing the procedures are licensed, certified and trained in their respective fields.

Known for working only with board-certified dermatologists, HOO frontlines a new breed of medical boutique in the country as it welcomes on board the expertise of Dr. Lora Mae Aguirre-Guzman and Dr. Nikki Eileen Valencia, reconstructive surgeons for HOO TriNoma, and Dr. Jaime Lapan Jr. who will be performing cosmetic dental procedures at HOO Alabang.

Surgical, dental procedures

“HOO believes that beauty is a product of confidence, which led it to add surgical and dental treatments to its service menu,” says HOO medical director Dr. Stephen Lacson. “We want to target all components of the face, including the eyes, neck and mouth, as well as parts of the body. We brought in two women reconstructive surgeons, both members of the Philippine Association of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (PAPRAS), the only group certifying plastic surgeons in the country. HOO will also be joined by an expert in cosmetic dentistry to cater to HOO clients.”

HOO TriNoma will be offering cosmetic surgery procedures like Blepharoplasty (Upper Eyelid/Deepsetting and Lower Eyelid/Eyebag Removal), Rhinoplasty (Noselift, Tip Plasty and Alarplasty), and Rhytidectomy (Facelift). HOO is partnering with a reputable hospital for major cosmetic procedures like Liposuction, Abdominoplasty, and Breast Augmentation.

According to reconstructive surgeon Dr. Lora Mae Aguirre-Guzman, patients seek dermatologists for their skin problems but they may also have additional concerns about other parts of their body, which are beyond the dermatologist’s scope. “Cosmetic surgery, as is true in most cases in plastic surgery, goes further than the skin. It can address the problems caused by facial laxity, excess fat and excess loose skin. A cosmetic surgeon can also do procedures such as body contouring through liposuction and breast reduction,” Guzman explains.

Dr. Jaimie Lapan Jr., who will specialize in cosmetic dental procedures and dental implants at HOO Alabang Town Center, says a perfect smile is important because it makes you look and feel more confident. “A beautiful face is not enough — you have to have a good smile also. We take care of both at HOO,” Lapan says.

Raising the bar in aesthetic care

HOO has always banked on the expertise of its doctors. To date, there are over 720 Obagi-affiliated physicians, surgeons, dermatologists and skin care experts across the country. House of Obagi can refer its walk-in customers to these doctors for continuing consultation. Aside from providing quality medical supervision, House of Obagi also aims to prevent the unauthorized parallel sellers and to protect consumers. HOO Center for Dermatology upholds the highest standards in dermatological and aesthetic care, partnering only with Board-certified doctors to protect patients and deliver the best possible results.
