'Tis the season of ho-ho-hope!

“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart.”  — Helen Keller

It was a meaningful welcome to the annual Christmas tradition in Nivel Hills as the five-star Marco Polo Plaza recently ushered in the merriest season of the year wi2th a special Christmas lighting ceremony. Indefatigable GM Hans Hauri led the traditional lighting of the Tree of Hope together with hardworking Cebu Gov. Gwen Garcia, who graced the occasion for the fourth time. The merry Yuletide spirit was truly felt in the air as the Southwestern University Choir (SWU) led by master conductor Neil Salarda serenaded everyone with their enthralling music at the magnificent Grand Staircase.

During the festivities, guests demonstrated the true spirit of giving as they took part in Marco Polo’s series of charitable holiday activities for the benefit of Kythe and Kapuso Foundations. For the “Light Up the Tree of Hope,” compassionate individuals are invited to light up the dazzling tree through their P100 per ball donation. It was truly a heartwarming Christmas affair that will surely help brighten the future of Cebu’s young cancer patients.

Happy holidays from The Marco Polo Plaza Cebu!

Having a blast in Thailand

Cherishing the beauty of nurtured relationships is one of the best experiences one can have. Recently, the ever energetic Grace Palma-Tiongco, together with her group of friends, decided to embark on an exciting bonding trip to Thailand. After touring the country’s wonderful sites and shopping in its colorful bazaars, the group capped the night off with an intimate Thai dinner. The trip was indeed a memorable, overseas get-together for friends!

Cheers!
