Croc for a cause

"It’s more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35

A fabulous party in immaculate white setting with the music of the country’s foremost orchestra flooding the ears, all there and more to honor a casual shirt? Lacoste’s 12.12 Project at the Makati Shang celebrated the legendary 12.12 shirt invented by Lacoste founder René Lacoste in the 1920s.

Organized by Stores Specialists Inc. EVP Anton Huang and president Zenaida Tantoco, the affair was graced by no less than Philippe Lacoste, grandson of René Lacoste, together with French Ambassador Gerard Chesnel and CCP president Nes Jardin. The exhibit cum auction of stylized Lacoste shirts designed by Philippine personalities, such as Don Jaime Zobel de Ayala, Francisco Mañosa, Anton Mendoza, Jun de Leon, Warner Manning, Impy Pilapil, Tom and Kathy Zita, Jojie Lloren, Sandy Romualdez, Tessa Prieto-Valdes, Napoleon Abueva, Sharon Cuneta-Pangilinan, Lea Salonga, Hindy Tantoco, Jeannie Goulbourn, Inno Sotto, Lor Calma, Josie Natori and Arturo Luz, raised a substantial amount for the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra Instruments Fund.

Congratulations!
Feast for the eyes
MFI, Europe’s No. 1 integrated kitchen retailer and manufacturer, supported the recent UK SHOW, the first-ever British-focused tradeshow in the country at the Hotel Intercontinental in Makati. The show was held to highlight British businesses in the country and to encourage British traders to invest in the Philippines. The MFI booth at the tradeshow was one of the most eye-catching in the hall, featuring a fully furnished and beautifully assembled Space Kitchen. British Ambassador Peter Beckingham and guest of honor Sen. Mar Roxas stopped by the booth for a short chat with Eurotiles VP for corporate sales and MFI operations Benedict Tan and MFI Representative to the Philippines and Malaysia Keith Hughes. Even reigning Miss International Precious Lara Quigaman visited the MFI showcase; she signed the guestbook and posed for a picture with Eurotiles head-corporate sales Edwin Co.

Congratulations for a successful showing at the tradeshow!
A beautiful visitor
A beautiful European woman, who also happens to be the granddaughter of former French president Francois Mitterrand, quietly sneaked into the country for a private visit to seek viable business opportunities and above all, to go see Dr. Pierre Clero, a cosmetic surgeon of the Clero-Clinic. Gorgeous Frenchwoman Antigone Mitterrand had the opportunity of seeing the beauty of the Philippines and experiencing the graciousness of the Filipino during her brief stay.

In photo are Dr. Pierre Clero with French beauty Antigone Mitterand. We hope you’ll find yourself coming back to our shores, Ms. Mitterrand!
