The heat is on, so this summer, we focus our eyes on protection from the glaring sun. Two brands come to mind: Tom Ford and Max Mara.
Tom Ford is a provocative brand combining modernity and glamour since its launch in 2005. At the same time, it is influenced by vintage while being contemporary.
Tom Ford shows its vision for the hot summer months through eyeglasses, both optical and shades.
Harvey Lakhmani of The Optoline Inc. says : “Ford’s eyewear line is immediately recognizable by the use of the elegant metal “T.” Among the most iconic styles are the Whitney, the Jennifer, the Cary and the Leo; and the sunglasses worn by James Bond in the 007 movies.
Perfect to a “T”, Tom Ford styles are obviously inspired by top stars.
Max Mara Eyewear is inspired by two icons — the renowned architect Eileen Gray and famous photographer Lee Miller.
“Gray’s architecture and Miller’s attitude are translated into bold designs full of personality,” explains Lakhmani. “Oversized looks, refined geometric shapes and workmanship give Max Mara a certain charisma. It has a timeless appeal, just like its clothes.”
He adds that the Max Mara Fashion Group signed a licensing agreement with Marcolin Group for the design, production and worldwide distribution of Max Mara sunglasses and eyeglasses. The first eyewear collection was unveiled at the 2021 spring-summer show of Max Mara.
“Glamorous forms and modernist architecture are the essence of this summer collection.”
The two brands are exclusively distributed by The Optoline Inc and are available in top optical stores.
