July 21, 2004

It’s the last full day of the sun’s journey through Cancer. Hopefully, all the cocooning of the past few weeks has been rejuvenating. Home never felt so cozy. Spend some time there, gratefully accepting all those belongings in our surroundings that simulate security and comfort. Of course, the real comfort comes from inside.

ARIES (March 21-April 19).
You’re sure of who you are, and everyone wants to be near someone like that! Numerous offers have you feeling like the most popular person on Earth. But at some point, it’s more hectic than fun. Plan some time to slow down.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Though you’re not usually one to follow any subject considered to many to be frivolous, new interests will surprise you and shake up your usual sensibility. Loved ones bond by venturing into strange territory together.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
You’re not only in a loving mood; you’re in an adoring mood that verges on co-dependency. This is a good day to reinforce to yourself that your future happiness is not hinging on one particular person. Exert your independence.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
It’s a day of contradictions. You’ll be chuckling inwardly, and your amusement seems to give the world more dimension and life. What you see is probably not what you get, but in time, what you get could prove more useful.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22)
. The colors of your world may seem to be repeating in an endless bland pattern. It’s definitely time to change things. If you’ve been considering travel, now is the time to do it. You’ll find kindred spirits along your path.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (July 21).
Your accomplishments are impressive this year. If you keep working steadily, you’ll have your debts paid by October. August features public acknowledgment. Education is part of the fall, and singles will meet a dream partner in a school-like setting. Love starts tenderly but gets wildly passionate as winter rolls near. Lucky love signs are Capricorn and Virgo. Your lucky numbers are: 13, 2, 33, 25 and 19.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22)
. You’re tempted to take a leisurely pace, but cementing business alliances before noon will produce a happy bank account! Exercise! The hardest part is the first 10 minutes. Get past that, and you’re on your way.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
You’re feeling open minded and not tied to seeing things one way or the other. This is a perfect day to look at art or listen to music – you may have an epiphany! Financially, this is a powerful day when results are immediate.

SCORPIO (Oct.24-Nov.21).
Celebrate your friendships and all they bring to your life. Your tight bonds may produce predictable outcomes, but it’s never boring. Open communication brings new trust. Tonight, pen diary notes and random musings.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov.22-Dec.21).
You magnetize what you want, though you might not consciously know what that is. Do some soul searching! Sagittarius people traditionally want what they can’t have, so try to be more realistic and honest.

CAPRICORN (Dec.22-Jan.19).
Reality sets in soon enough, so indulge yourself in the creative fluff around the edges of real life. At work, you may feel you’re navigating a political obstacle course and having to use your most diplomatic instincts as a guide.

AQUARIUS (Jan.20-Feb.18).
After a bout of waning motivation, you’re ready to kick into a higher productivity bracket. Social participation will be key to getting your drive back. You are marvelous at entertaining, and your talents are in high demand.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
It may be easier for you to focus on your fantasies and projections than your reality. When memory clouds and the details fall away, all that remains is a feeling. It’s truly a time when you can re-write history.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS:
"My birthday is March 23, 1989. Will the rest of this summer be boring or exciting? I probably won’t see my friends for a while. Will I be able to talk to them every week?"

A high-energy Aries like you enjoys being constantly challenged. But as my grandmother used to tell me, there are no boring activities, only boring people. Whether or not you talk to your friends, use your time off to develop the interests you don’t have time to develop while you’re in school. I hear you protesting now, "But what are my interests?" Make a list of 20 activities you think sound fun. Then, narrow the list down to the 10 items that are actually the most doable. Then, use your Aries gift for persuading adults to help you out to accomplish the top three items. What you’re really doing is learning to show initiative, and people who make a habit of this will never be boring and will always have lots of friends. I believe an Aries is never too young to take charge on some level. Remember, everyone wants to hop on a train that’s already moving!

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Josh Hartnett has made so many girls swoon that his movies should come with a warning label. And he’s got a busy year coming up. Hot Hartnett flicks include "Wicker Park," in which he plays a loved-crazed young lawyer. Cancer people’s nurturing yet intense emotional energy means boy-next-door sex appeal for Hartnett. They also have a strong need for supportive people around them.
