Tropical storm "Butchoy" has relocated and is now heading toward Samar and Bicol. At 4 p.m. yesterday, "Butchoy" was estimated at 240 kms east-southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar with strongest sustained winds of 85 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 100 kph. It is moving northwest at 17 kph. It is forecast to be 130 kms southeast of Casiguran, Aurora this afternoon.

Public Storm Warning Signal No. 2 is in effect over Catanduanes and the Samar provinces, which will have winds of 61-100 kph and rough to very rough coastal waters.

Public Storm Warning Signal No. 1 is hoisted over Sorsogon, Albay, Burias Island, Masbate, the Camarines provinces, the Leyte provinces, Biliran Island, Bohol, northern Cebu and Surigao del Norte, which will have rains and gusty winds of 30-60 kph and moderate to rough seas.

The rest of southern Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao will be cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers.

Coastal waters in eastern Luzon will be moderate to occasionally rough. Elsewhere, seas will be slight to moderate.
