MANILA, Philippines — The Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) yesterday backed a signature campaign for the passage of a law prohibiting political dynasties.

“CEAP announces its full support for the campaign advocating a people’s initiative to pass a genuine anti-political dynasty law in the Philippines,” the group said.

The Dapat Isa Lang Movement initiated the campaign.

A Pulse Asia survey found that 64 percent of Filipinos supported legislation prohibiting political dynasties.
