Bicol courts suspend work for personnel, judges' well-being

MANILA, Philippines — Several courts in Bicol Region have suspended work from October 28 to 31 for the “well-being” of its personnel and judges following last week’s onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami). 

In separate advisories, the courts announced a work suspension to allow time for personal concerns, home cleanup, safe travel, and the well-being of judges, court staff and users.

Despite the suspension, courts will remain reachable through their respective hotlines and email addresses for urgent matters.

The following courts in Bicol Region have suspended work:

  • Municipal Trial Court in Cities (MTCC) in Naga City 
  • Regional Trial Court (RTC) in Iriga City
  • Municipal Circuit Trial Court (MCTC) Nabua-Bato
  • Municipal Trial Court (MTC) Buhi
  • MTC Baao
  • MTC Balatan
  • All first level and second level courts within the administrative jurisdiction of RTC, Naga City, Camarines Sur
  • All Municipal Trial Courts in Cities in Iriga City
  • RTC San Jose in Camarines Sur and the Municipal Circuit Trial Court and Municipal Trial Courts within its jurisdiction
  • All first and second level courts within the administrative jurisdiction of RTC Pili and RTC Camarines Sur
  • RTC Calabanga, RTC Camarines Sur Branch 63 and the MTCs under its administrative jurisdiction
