MANILA, Philippines — The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 4 will undergo renovation, particularly safety upgrade, starting Nov. 6.
The New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC) said renovation work is targetted for completion by February 2025.
Also known as the old domestic airport, NAIA Terminal 4 currently serves Cebu Pacific’s sister company Cebgo with 36 daily flights, AirSWIFT with 12 daily flights, and Sunlight Air with two daily flights. They will operate at the NAIA Terminal 2 while the renovation is ongoing.
NAIA Terminal 4 handles approximately 2,900 passengers each day – 1,400 arriving and 1,500 departing — representing 2.23 percent of NAIA’s total daily passenger volume, NNIC said.
NNIC said it is coordinating closely with airlines affected to ensure a smooth transition and minimize any service disruption.
“Our goal is to make Terminal 4 more comfortable and efficient for travelers. While there may be some temporary disruptions, we appreciate the public’s understanding and patience as we work to deliver these much-needed improvements,” NNIC said.
Passengers are advised to check with their respective airlines for updated flight schedules. NNIC will also provide regular updates on the renovation’s progress through its official channels: “newnaiaph” on X (formerly Twitter), “Ninoy Aquino International Airport” on Facebook, and on its official website, newnaia.com.ph.
