MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Depression Onyok continued to track westward on Thursday afternoon, threatening Caraga region in northeastern portion of Mindanao.
In its 5 p.m. advisory, state weather bureau PAGASA said the cyclone, spotted 515 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur at 4 p.m., sustains maximum winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center and moves at a speed of 15 kilometers.
It is forecast to be 105 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur by Friday afternoon and move toward 270 kilometers southwest of Dipolog City by Saturday afternoon.

PAGASA said "Onyok" may cause flashfloods and landslides with moderate to heavy rainfall within its 100-kilometer diameter.
