PAGASA: ITCZ to bring rains in VisMin

MANILA, Philippines - The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Saturday said most parts of Visayas and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with rains due to an Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).

PAGASA said the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms over Visayas, CARAGA and Davao region.

Meanwhile, tropical storm In-fa has intensified into a typhoon as it moved closer to the Philippine area of responsibility at 2,000 km east of Visayas.

The typhoon, which is forecast to move west northwest at 20 kph, has maximum sustained winds of 150 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 185 kph.

The rest of the country including Metro Manila will have fair weather or partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated thunderstorms.
