MANILA, Philippines - The weather bureau on early Monday morning raised a yellow rainfall warning in three provinces in Luzon due to Typhoon Lando.
The yellow rainfall warning was raised in Tarlac, Nueva Ecija and Zambales, an advisory released by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) at 1 a.m. noted.
Provinces under the yellow rainfall warning are expected to experience flooding in low-lying areas.
Meanwhile, the thunderstorm affecting portions of Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon may persist within two hours, PAGASA said.
Light to moderate rains affecting Metro Manla, Bulacan, Bataan and Pampanga may last up to three hours.
The public and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council in areas concerned are advised to take appropriate actions, monitor the weather condition and watch for the next advisory to be issued at 4 a.m. today, PAGASA said.
