MANILA, Philippines - Rains will persist over Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon today due to a low-pressure area (LPA) that was once Tropical Storm Betty, the state weather bureau said.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) yesterday said the LPA will still bring light to moderate rains over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, Ilocos, Central Luzon, Calabarzon and Mimaropa.
The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
As of 4 p.m. Sunday, the LPA was spotted at 150 kilometers southwest of Ambulong in Tanauan City, Batangas.
The agency warned the public against moderate to rough seas in Northern Luzon.
The rest of the country will have slight to moderate seas, it said.
