Jinggoy allowed to attend son's graduation

MANILA, Philippines - The Sandiganbayan on Monday granted the request of Sen. Jinggoy Estrada to attend the graduation of his son.

Estrada will be allowed to leave his detention cell from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday to attend the high school graduation of his son Julian at the OB Montessori in Greenhills, San Juan City.

The senator initially requested for a furlough from 1:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

He is currently detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center for plunder and graft charges in connection with the alleged multi-million pork barrel scam.
