MANILA, Philippines - The country has 1,107 new certified public accountants, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced yesterday.
Rommel Edusma of the Asian Development Foundation College topped the examinees with a score of 94.57 percent while San Beda College of Alabang Inc. graduate Joanna Marie Barrozo got second place with 94.43 percent.
Only 1,107 out the 5,540 examinees passed the CPA licensure examination held in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legaspi last July, the PRC said.
University of San Carlos graduate Ray Hamodi Ngalot ranked third with a grade of 92.43 percent while Adventist University of the Philippines graduate Orvile Rabino placed fourth with 92 percent.
In fifth place was Xavier University graduate Joscel delos Cielos with 91.57 percent, followed by another University of San Carlos graduate Jamaica Englis in the sixth spot with 91.43 percent.
Polytechnic University of the Philippines graduate Ken Lester Guillen and San Beda College graduate Dann Karlo Manzano shared the seventh slot as both scored 91.29 percent.
Another San Beda College of Alabang graduate Eros Herrera and University of San Carlos graduate Thomas Zachary Sarigumba both scored 91.14 percent, landing in eighth place.
In ninth place was PUP graduate Jo-Ann Mercado with 90.86 percent. Southwestern University graduate Lyndon Asis and San Beda College graduate Adrian Enriquez shared 10th place with 90.43 percent. (See complete list on www.philstar.com)
